Saturday 1st Feb is the celebration of the Feast of St. Brigid.

It is the traditional day for making of St. Brigid crosses from rushes.

St Brigid’s crosses are sought after.

They are placed over the door in honour of St. Brigid to ask God’s blessings for the year ahead.

We ask anyone who can make a St. Brigid’s Cross to drop it off to the Church before Saturday 1stFeb.

It would be a lovely to give a gift of a St. Brigid’s Cross and Prayer Card to all our First Friday calls.
