St. Brigid’s Day is celebrated on the first day of February. St Brigid’s crosses are sought after.
They are placed over the door in honour of St. Brigid to ask God’s blessings for the year ahead.

This is a prayer to Saint Brigid:

Brigid Mary of the Gael let your mantle pass over me and keep me under its protective covering until I am with you in Heaven. Amen
