CLARE COUNTY FIRE & RESCUE SERVICE (CCFRS), the fire authority for Clare County Council, are currently running an initiative to install free smoke alarms in houses that currently do not have smoke detection systems in place with particular emphasis focused on vulnerable or elderly members of the community. The alarms are fitted with a 10-year battery life and are installed by professional firefighters from your local fire station. The entire process is free of charge.
