A Pastoral Letter from Bishop Fintan, ‘Going forward in Faith, Hope and Love’ will be launched in the Diocese on this weekend Mission Sunday, October 21st-22nd. It is the fruit of 16 gatherings and conversations held across the Pastoral Areas of the Diocese in the Spring and the discernment that followed. A letter from Bishop Fintan Monahan
Autumn 2023
Bishop Fintan Monahan has issued a Pastoral Letter to the people of the diocese of Killaloe on future planning for the diocese.
It is entitled Going forward in Faith, Hope and Love.
It was launched in the Cathedral in Ennis on Saturday 21st of October in conjunction with Mission Sunday at the vigil Mass at 6.30 pm.
It follows extensive consultation, discussion and discernment that was done in a synodal way in the diocese since the Spring of this year.
In the document there is a plan for the coming years in relation to structure for pastoral areas, pastoral practice, liturgy, clergy, new lay volunteer ministries, administration, evangelisation and mission.
